Clara's POV
“GODDAMNIT! Where the fuck is Mirella? Anybody heard from her?” I shouted impatiently. Seriously, Mirella is a fun girl to be with, but when it comes to time like this, she sure can make me furious. “I don’t know Clara! I’ve been trying to call her phone for like, forever but all I got is the fucking voicemail!” Corrie replies frustatedly. “Look everyone just calm down, okay? TACP*, relax!” Nadine step on the scene. “Now maybe she had her reasons, or maybe she was hit by a cab, or maybe she was mobbed, or maybe she was…” “NAD! If that is your attempt to making us calm down, then you’re not doing a very good job.” Valerie’s also getting pissed now. That’s odd. Usually she’s the Zen master or something like that, our yoga trainer etc etc you get the point. “Okay, okay EVERYONE! Look, I’m gonna call her one last time, and if she doesn’t answer my call, well, we’ll gonna have to leave her even though we love her so much. Deal?” Bella finally spoke. Of course, she’s the one who’s in control of everything. Pretty handy though, when we can’t decide where we’re eating or go shopping to. She was just about to press speed dial number 6 when Mirella suddenly came bursting through the door. “SO, SO, SORRY EVERYONE! WAIT, WAIT DON’T KILL ME JUST YET! Gimme… a… moment… catch… my… breath.” She said, gasping for air. “GIRL, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? IT’S BEEN 2 FREAKING HOURS WE’VE WAITED FOR YOU HERE!” I burst out all of my emotion. Yup, between us all, I’m the one with the fiery attitude, opposite of Val. “I would explain all, but I think we’re running out of time, so can I just call you guys in 6 ways later?” I grumbled at Mirella’s response. “Fine, but you better have a fucking good explanation!”
Corrie stepped to the front, the only one standing while we’re all sitting on the couch. “OKAYYY! Now that everyone’s here, here’s what we’re gonna do today. We’re gonna use The Closet for the ball’s outfit, and here’s the department duties. Mirella, you’ll scope out the dress department. Find the dresses that you think is amazing on us all, and yourself. Bella, shoes. Val, jewelries. Nad, headpieces and accessories. I’ll be scoping out the makeup book for looks that’s gonna look amazing, and Clara will give our final mix and match a yes or no, cause she’s the classiest of us all.” “Yeah you got that right. I swear if Breakfast at Tiffany’s is real, you’ll be no doubt, playing Holly.” Nad giggled while saying that. I just giggled a little. It’s true. After all, what girl doesn’t like the blings and diamonds? ;)
The girls got to work, while I’m sitting in front of the dressing room in a big, luxurious white leather round couch while sipping on martinis that the new intern gave me. She had this total star struck face when she saw us. Huh. Guess Corrie’s telling the truth when she said that Anna told her we were “quite popular” here. Hahaha. I was about to finish the second glass when Nadinia came up to me. “Okay. I don’t know the dresses and the shoes yet, so I just picked out the cutest I saw there.” She got 4 purses, 2 small purses, a wristlet, 4 headpieces, and 3 belts. “Wow Nad, those are… FANTASTIC! I really hope we get to keep these clothes after the ball.” “Yeah, me too! Wow, it’s too quiet without all the girls here. Usually we make one hell of a noise when we’re together.” I laughed. “HAHAHA that’s totally true.” I looked around me. “It is kinda quiet here… Hey, you want something to drink? Ask that new intern… Tammy, Tanny, Tisha… TASHA! Yeah that’s her name. Or snacks, if you want to.” I offered Nad. I seriously didn’t pay attention when she said her name. Maybe I got it wrong. Oops. It’s not my fault I’m absent-minded. LOL*.
When everybody got back from their duties, they started mix and matching. I shrugged and disagree most of the time, cause the outfit that they put together isn’t really amazing. Good, but not fantastic. And it suddenly hit me. “WAIT, GUYS! Hold up a second.” I picked up the red, gorgeous, floor sweeping long Valentino gown. “This screams Corrie so bad. Now Cor, all you gotta do is pick the bag, some kind of a clutch maybe, shoes, and I think, a pair of long white diamond earrings. This gown is already beautiful without too much accessories.” The gown has a big bow detail on the left shoulder, and it has a sleek, straight cut. “OH MY GOD YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY MY HERO! CLARYCLARYCLARY I LOVE YOU!” Corrie attacked me. “Whoa, chill there girl. Don’t want to spill the martini :P” One down, 5 more to go…
